Back to Yamaguchi...Thom

Really had fun by my self, could take as long as I wanted and photograph with out concern of delaying friends. Didn't, unfortunately, make the photos any better. Jo is the only person with whom I enjoy photo safaris. Mablerose being the exception, she was also fun to be with on photo shoots. I miss her, but feel like I need to let her make her own choices.

Religion seems to play a very important role in the life of the Japanese, births and celebrations are usually Shinto rites, while death and marriage are usually Buddhist. Don't know what determines which belongs to what religion, but think the combination's are interesting.

Getting around in a country where the language is totally different, all the signage in in Kanji or Kana, none of the foods look familiar,( well not sushi and noodles...) well, there are cones, with flavors like blue berry, vanilla with green tea, chocolate, and one I havn't tried yet calles "sweet potato."

This is a fives story pagoda and very famous. Also, very hard to get a "post card" photo of because it is so dark.
